Bridge over troubled water

Kosinj, Lika, Croatia.
Bridge was build in 1930's and is designed to withstand even very high waters - not the holes between the arches. There was a study to flood the valley upstream and destroy the bridge, but for now the study was found environmentally unacceptable and new study, which must obley new laws and regulations, will be made. So, there's still hope that this velley, historically and naturally important, will not be destroyed as the village of Kruščica in 1960's.
Edit January 10th 2010: Most of Croatia is in more or less threat of flood, or is flooded already. Amongst the places that have it worst is this village: all you can see of the bridge is two lines marking side walls, if even that is visible now.
