A village on river Una, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. I think it was a poor village even before the war, but war scars are too visible to tell. War destruction was very bad in the region along Una river. But in all that, I found these old houses charming in a way, so I had to share.

When I saw the thumbnail for this photograph, I thought that this was a charming Irish country cottage. Oh how sad, the ravages of war, the destruction, the stupidity. But then, the cottage survived! It is just waiting for someone to return and care for it. This cottage and the old tree are symbols of Hope. Thank you for sharing this!!!
